Karura Mask

The god Karura is one of the Twenty eight Legions of Sennju Kannon (thousand-handed Kannon). He has his origins in the Garuda;a spiritual bird from ancient Indian myth. He is half man and half bird with the head of an eagle and wings. It is said that Karasu Tengu was derived from this Garuda. Commonly Fudou Myoo is depicted with fire on his back; this fire is called the flame of Karura and birds can be seen flying in it.
