Tibetan Mongolian

Houzoushin

He is also called Rengeshin. This god was created in the late of the latter Esoteric Buddhism. He can be mixed up with Hotei in China because he looks like Hotei. He has a lemon in his right hand and a mongoose in his left making it vomit treasures out of its mouth. A mouse is often used as a symbol of producing treasures in Japan or China where people are not familiar with mongooses. A small magic mallet of Daikoku Ten is also symbolized for producing treasures in Japan. He is worshipped by himself, however, can be worshipped with his wife bosatsu (Jisei Bosatsu) as a pair.
