Enma means to arrest criminals. Also called Byodou Oo(equality king) because he was given the two laws of joys and sorrows and judges sins fairly; the head of the ten kings and the lord of the hell. The main image of his is originally Jizou Bosatsu; governs 57 days; judges wicked acts and makes the criminals attain Buddhahood(Nirvana). He has a style of an ancient government clerk.
