Chouju Butsu

There are the word, Amitaabha(Buddha of Limitless Life) or Amitaayus(Buddha of Limitless Light), as the original term for Amida Nyorai. He is also called Kanro Nyorai or Chouju Butsu because Kannro means undying(never die). He is the Lord of Western Pure Land believed by a lot of people. He founded Jodo sect. Many statues of sitting Amida Nyorai have one face and two arms with the mudra of zenjouin, however, Chojubutsu has the mudra of joubon-geshouin(upper class lower life) in Amida Nyorai kubon-raigouin(Nine Levels of Birth in Paradise).
