Tenjin

Basara Taishou

One of the 12 Heavenly Generals, an attendant to Yakushi Nyorai. They represent the twelve vows of Yakushi Nyorai. Each has 70,000 attendants, which commands 84,000 totally. They represent the principal vow that he overcomes the confusion when 84,000 of the ordinary people to enable them to attain enlightenment. They also protect during the 12 hours of day and night, wearing the 12 animals of the 12-year Chinese zodiac, however, 12 Heavenly Generals don't derive from these 12 animals.
